Anticipated Assassin's Creed Board Game Gives a Glimpse of Game Dynamics for Project Code named 'Red'

Ubisoft has been maintaining a low profile about the successor to 2023's Assassin's Creed Mirage, affectionately known as Assassin's Creed Codename Red, scheduled for release in 2024. Nonetheless, hints at what the sequel may entail have been gleaned from an upcoming board game based on the popular series. 

Access the Animus flagged evidence recently on X platform (credit to GamesRadar), indicating that this tabletop RPG will incorporate a test story set in Feudal Japan, which also serves as the backdrop for Codename Red. Notably, it will offer a taster of the gameplay. 

However, as the board game's Kickstarter campaign won't kick off until September 5, it will take some time to ascertain the correlation with Codename Red. For now, it's confirmed that Ubisoft is partially backing the tabletop RPG, signaling some form of official association.
