Intel and ESL Forge Extended Alliance to Elevate Counter-Strike 2 Esports Experience

The collaboration between ESL and Intel is set to extend its fruitful partnership for numerous additional years. The Intel Extreme Masters events have become essential fixtures in the competitive landscape of Counter-Strike 2, with the ongoing IEM Katowice showcasing top-tier action in Poland. Fans can look forward to more of these thrilling events in the future due to the renewed commitment from both organizations.

For nearly 24 years, Intel and ESL have maintained a collaborative relationship, which has gained significant recognition primarily for the ESL Pro Tour and IEM tournaments. Their strong alliance culminated in the commemoration of the centennial IEM event taking place in Dallas last year, a milestone that highlights their impact within the esports community. Collectively, these tournaments have amassed more than two billion hours of viewer engagement and distributed over $27 million in prizes.

The chief commercial officer of the ESL FACEIT Group, Rodrigo Samwell, expressed his enthusiasm about this ongoing collaboration. He noted that Intel has established itself as a widely respected brand in the esports arena, thanks to its enduring presence that has shaped the industry. The reputation and influence Intel has achieved within the gaming and esports communities are unparalleled. The partners are eager to continue providing extraordinary experiences and honoring the achievements of IEM champions in the years ahead.

While exact information about the length of the partnership extension remain unspecified, it is confirmed that Intel's involvement with ESL will persist for the ESL Pro Tour and IEM events, with the new agreement taking effect in January 2025.
