Riot Games, Valorant, and League of Legends Developer Acquires New Studio

Riot Games has made an official statement confirming the successful completion of the acquisition of one of the largest game and application development studios in Australia, Warming Sydney. This studio is famous for such projects as World of Warships and World of Tanks. The deal will result in a name change from Warming Sydney to Riot Sydney and the studio will now work on Valorant, the League of Legends, and other Riot developments.

President and Co-Founder of Riot Games, Marc Merrill said that everyone in the company is extremely excited to have such talented employees. Therefore, Riot is confident that such a move will be an excellent basis for even more successful work on the content that will soon delight players.

In the same official statement that confirmed the successful conclusion of the transaction, it was indicated that Riot Sydney would be primarily involved in the creation of live games. The employees will work in the same office as before, it's just that now the entire staff of the company becomes part of Riot. Meanwhile, the publishing team will still be owned by Wargaming, as will BigWorld Technology, which is very helpful in creating MMOs and online games.

Hirani stressed that working with Wargaming is a huge step forward which they tried to achieve for nearly a decade. He is convinced that this decision will allow the studio to flourish and grow like never before. This deal has been very positively received by everyone on the teams of both sides, and now the developers are as inspired as ever to create content that will give players an even more amazing experience.
