Ubisoft Issues Warning to Star Wars Outlaws Players: Start Fresh to Avoid Save File Issues

Ubisoft is advising players with early access to Star Wars Outlaws to create a fresh save file. Star Wars Outlaws has officially launched, and those who opted to pay over $100 have been enjoying the game a few days in advance. However, a bug identified by Ubisoft suggests that early access users on PS5 may need to reset their progress and start anew.

As reported by GamesRadar, Ubisoft clarified the situation: on August 27, the team discovered that certain PS5 gamers were continuing on an earlier build of the game. An update was promptly released, and players were notified to ensure they upgraded to the latest version (1.000.002). In addition, players were counseled to initiate a new save to mitigate further complications and impede their advancement.

To prevent working with an outdated iteration of Star Wars Outlaws, it's time to let go of your achievements with Kay Vess. Affected players will receive a new in-game trinket along with 100 Ubisoft Connect Units for the inconvenience, but it appears that saved files cannot be recovered.

This situation has led to a challenging beginning for Star Wars Outlaws on PS5, despite receiving generally favorable ratings from reviewers. Full insights on our perspectives can be found through the provided link.
