Asphalt 9: Legends - 2019's Action Car Racing Game review

Asphalt 9: Legends is a continuation of the Asphalt series of racing games from Gameloft studio. Here the player will go through a large-scale career, participate in daily promotions and competitions, as well as race online with other players in the ranked races.

What is Asphalt 9: Legends? It is fire from under the wheels, jumps over chasms, crazy stunts in the air, and unreal fast cars. But it all starts small.

The point is that in Asphalt 9, just like in the previous game, the cars are divided into 5 classes: D, C, B, A, S. The higher the class, the more tough and powerful the car is, but to get it is much harder. In contrast to the previous part of the series, you can no longer buy cars in the store for the credits. Now all the cars without exception are assembled from the blueprints.

All of these features are revealed to the player gradually. The more you race and win, the faster you get cool cars. But constantly driving one car will not work. In Asphalt 9, each car has such a parameter, as the fuel. It can be a maximum of 6 units, which is enough for 6 races. Refueling happens once every half hour. But do not worry. Having opened 5-6 cars you can already ride virtually non-stop, and if the gas runs out, you can instantly fill it up for the tokens, and quite inexpensively.

Also, each machine has a rank, which is calculated based on its parameters. The maximum rank of this or that car, as well as the maximum level of pumping its parameters, is limited by the number of stars.

In Asphalt 9 the cars have from 1 to 5 stars. With an increase of stars, the maximal car's rank increases and you can make it more powerful. You also need blueprints, but in much larger quantities, to increase the stardom.

First of all, the player should start to go through a career. It is divided into 5 divisions with a bunch of seasons in each. At the same time, each season has an average of about 10 races, so you definitely won't get bored. As you go through your career you will get new car blueprints, blueprint kits, credits, and tokens (donat currency).

Very soon you will get to the online game, where you will need to race with other players in the ranked races. There are several leagues: bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and legend. To go to the next league, you need to collect a certain amount of rating. The rating system in Asphalt 9: Legends is fair, so you can easily compete with the top players even in the most basic machines.

With relatively low system requirements the graphics here are very good. The neon of the night cities, the sands of Cairo, the speed-washed palm groves of Caribbean beaches. And what about the lush weather effects? Rain and snow flying out from under the wheels while drifting on mountain slopes are very beautifully realized.

Music in Asphalt 9: Legends is a separate topic. The game contains dozens of qualitative and atmospheric tracks, recorded especially for it. Be sure that very many of them will make your head spin. And the music will play both in the races and the garage.

Is Asphalt 9 worth playing? You definitely should.
