Genshin Impact review

Genshin Impact is an unusual online role-playing game in which you control not one, but several heroes of different elements. This MMORPG has pronounced anime stylistics. Players expect a large open world, on which to travel in search of adventures and new heroes. Some can freeze water right under their feet, others can hit with a bow without a miss.

Genshin Impact also belongs to the gacha game genre. But it's not fundamental: you can play with characters you get as you go along. In addition, opening chests, completing quests, solving puzzles, defeating enemies, the player gets in-game currency and artifacts, which will be enough for those who are just passionate about gameplay.

The adventure begins with the choice of a hero, the Traveler, who sets out to find his twin in the magical world of Taiwat, exploring and discovering its mysteries.

Many will be saddened by the lack of a PVP mode, as Genshin Impact is mostly a single-player game with co-op options. Multiplayer only opens when you reach rank 16. Crossplay puts participants on a level playing field, regardless of the device they are using.

Cooperative mode allows four players to fight in dungeons with the boss, but they can't do quests or swap loot together. The player here acts as the host, the others join in with their world.

In addition, with each new guest, the individual team decreases, and players will only have one character each when playing as a foursome.

To help the player developers offer an interactive map, which marked all the objects, enemies, quests, resources, items, everything of interest. Authorized, the player can mark already passed objects and leave comments.

Increasing the Adventure Rank raises the world level and is more valuable than pumping individual heroes. With each level, the player gains money, books, crystals, loot boxes, and donat currency.

In addition, as the rank increases, the reward from dungeons increases, and there is an opportunity to level up characters faster. 

Happens also during the game. Is carried out with the help of experience books with a certain level of quality, a higher quality - more experience. These books are given for exploring the map, gathering resources and catching fish, killing mobs, passing quests, cooking, and any other actions.

You can upgrade any hero, but it's more effective to improve all the characters evenly, not just one. The higher the rank of the squad - the easier it will be to Dungee and fight with the bosses.

Most of the game takes place in battles. The key element of the combat system - 24 characters, each of them has unique skills, weapons and possesses one of the seven elements.

During combat, the player, instantly switching to any of the team members, can inflict maximum damage by creating explosive combos, increase survivability, healing effects, or abilities. The element combo mechanic works especially well in a dungeon, in a boss battle.
